COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light ale made with 100% real raspberries in every batch. The rasberries give this beer a fruity aroma while keeping the beer balanced in taste. The raspberry flavor is not "oversweet" or "overpowering". We believe our beers should be "beer 1st,fruit 2nd".

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- my bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a small diminishing white head. Nice, pleasant raspberry aroma -- not artificial at all. Watery flavour of sweet malt, raspberries, yeast, grain and faint hops. Light to medium bodied. I liked the aroma but was dissapointed with the watery thin flavour -- still, for a Fruit beer itís decent.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, Paulís bottle. Weird hazy rusty orange, small white head. Decent raspberry aroma - very mild though. Interesting taste at first: mild fruit and malt followed by a ton of fresh raspberry. Lots of fruit bitterness. Not quite sure what to make of this. Is there a beer in here or just fruit juice? Mild. Ok overall.

Poured a deep amber with a touch of pink. Sweet malty aroma with a very mild hint of rasberry. Nutty flavor with very little raspberry. Burnt grains on the finish. Very thin body. Iím dissapointed with this one. Thier IPAís and Tripel are some of my favorites.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, blankboyís bottle . Murky pinkish-orange, no head. Light raspberry aroma, scorched wheat, touch of slightly sour white wine, grain. Sweet, vaguely raspberry taste, some sharp yeast character, weak pale lager body. Weak mouthfeel, almost flat, a little acidic, harsh aftertaste - not a good one of theirs, Iím afraid.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange-brown body with a small white head. The aroma is artificial and candyish - tart raspberries, minerals, and some oranges. Flowery sweet malt flavour with some kind of toasty malts. The raspberry flavour is present but itís fairly weak and uninteresting. Wateriness is evident. Weak.

Bottle from Bello Vino in Ann Arbor. Hazy iced tea appearance. Faint malt and fainter raspberry in the aroma. Watery mouthfeel. Flavour of bland, sweet malt with a hint of raspberry in the finish. Iíve liked other Dark Horse beers Iíve tried, so I had high hopes for this one, but I ended up very disappointed.

tap at brewpub- cloudy orange with not much head to speak of. light residual raspberry nose that smells medicinal and artificial. flavors of plastic and artificial berry flavor akin to kool-aid. light palate and just overall boring. probably the worst beer from this brewery.

Smelt this beer at several paces. Fruity musty aroma. Foggy brown orange appearance, but not too much of a head here. Flavor hits the upper palate immediately, then disappears with out after taste. This beer doesnít just get swallowed, it vanishes in the back of your mouth. Not too fruity like Founders RUBUS raspberry beer. Hey, this is a manís raspberry beer. Oops, I just realized how stupid that sounds. Flavor sticks with you to the last drop.

From 12oz Bottle. Pours a deep cinnimonny tan color with a thin layer of even beige head. The aroma is dominated by raspberries, but is toned down by a wheaty under layer. The flavor brings out a lot more of the wheaty character and less of the raspberries that completely dominate the aroma. The wheaty flavors are not exceptionally pleasing to my palate however, and come across as being a bit thin and grainy. Oh well, it still smells quite good.

This was quite awful. Color was a hazy bronze with a white head. Aroma was of chemical sweetener. Flavor was the same...chemical and shitty. Mouthfeel was surprisingly starchy.
