A light ale made with 100% real raspberries in every batch. The rasberries give this beer a fruity aroma while keeping the beer balanced in taste. The raspberry flavor is not "oversweet" or "overpowering". We believe our beers should be "beer 1st,fruit 2nd".

Hazy reddish amber body topped by a foamy white head. The aroma is full of apricots with some raspberry. The flavor is dry bready malt with subdues raspberry. None of the apricot detected in the aroma is present in the flavor. Not overly complex but pretty nice a drinkable. Medium dry body. Decent fruit beer. Not overdone or full of artifical fruit flavors.

Tap at Mad Anthony’s. Red/amber color with haze. Fruity aroma, not overwhelming. Body is thin. Slight hints of raspberry in taste, not overwhelming. Tart.

Festival tap: Dirty gold with the nose of over ripe rasberries. Smooth and actually quite malty for a fruit beer, the berry taste is strong and lasting. These guys make some fine, if not slightly off centered beers! Labels CANNOT be beat!!!!

Almost no carbonation, foggy yellow/orange with a lot of sediment, flavor is kind of like tonic water with a couple of raspberries at the bottom of the glass, dark horse could really use some help with their labels, this one is a bad trip.

Very little head, color is muddy amber. Very little raspberry aroma but, it’s there. Good all around flavor the berry isn’t overly false tasting. The berry taste almost comes as an aftertaste. The first flavors are more bright and tart. The mouthfeel seems about right for a fruit beer, nothing that sticks to the lips or is too filling so you can have a few after outdoor activities

Color is a hazen pale yellow, foamy firm off-white head, minimal lace sticks. Aroma of is melon husk, slight raspberry, mellow malted sweetness and a hint of smokeyness within, which is an interesting little nuance, but nothing really stands out otherwise. Taste has some pale malted sweetness, slightly bready, mild, mellow, crisp, raspberry is very light, more melon-like flavors then anything. Finish has some nice smoked wood hints. Again, that being the only worthy thing going for it. Feel is quite light, somewhat weak and closing in on watery. A slight fluffyness keeps it from going completely south. A simple brew with a one little smokey thing that made it just interesting enough to finish it.

Pint at the brewpub. Warm apricots and red raspberries in the nose, hazy body with medium bitterness; hints of lemon-lime, raspberry flavor doesn’t really dominate until late (that, and my exhaustion after 2 1/2 days of solid driving might help explain how I mistook this for the IPA!); salmon color. Way above average fruit beer.

Raspberry with a hint of hops and malts in the aroma, as well as a musty smel. Hazy red orange in color with almost no head from my bottle. A mere hint of raspberry taste not nearly what I was expecting. There was some bitterness and some orange rind tastes as well. Not all that great, but a few would refresh me on a warm summer eve.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2005 2004 bottle. Awesome appearance. Bottle conditioned, completely hazy, with a rosy-red/peachy hue, light but colorful and a thick white head and lacing. Aroma is light, touch of yeast and mainly a drier, fresh raspberry puree smell. Flavor is extremely fresh and tastes exactly like raspberries, no artificial notes. Hardly any sweetness, touch of sourness from the yeast and berries, no hops perceptible. Body is light, as it should be for a light fruit ale. Amazingly drinkable on a hot summer day. Well-made, sure it could use more malt and flavor, but I liked it for what it was.
