A light ale made with 100% real raspberries in every batch. The rasberries give this beer a fruity aroma while keeping the beer balanced in taste. The raspberry flavor is not "oversweet" or "overpowering". We believe our beers should be "beer 1st,fruit 2nd".

Bought a 12 FL OZ bottle of this from Donnie’s Homespun Pizza in Decatur, IL for $4. Poured from the Bright Red/Green/Black Labeled bottle into a 16oz Stone IPA Pint Glass. Had no freshness date on the bottle. Aroma- Big sweetness and light raspberries make up this nose. Candied and very seducing. Appearance- Pours no head at all... Hmm. Carbonation or date issues? No lacing is left either. The body is a dark and deep orange color. Flavor- Has an upfront sweet flavor and then breaks into an average wheat flavor. Raspberry flavor was dry and well hidden... No hops or bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, High Carbonation, and has a slight raspberry finish. Better then the flavor! Overall Impression- A decent fruit beer by Dark Horse but expected much more from these guys! It could have been an outdated brew but who knows without the B.O.D. Average when it comes down to it.

This is honestly awful. Tastes like cough syrup. Is basically the same price as founders rubeaus. Buy that instead.

Pours light amber, slightly cloudy, slightly red; modest, brief head. Faintly floral, fruity nose, with hint must. Taste very floral/herbal - raspberry. Light, sweet/sour. If you want BEER (capital B) this may not be the one. But as a light quencher, quite nice. Like a Berliner or a vin xu cassis substitute for brunch.

Pretty typical raspberry ale as per the old guard of craft brewing. It’s sort of a slightly malty amber ale with a good dollop of raspberry flavor. You get some caramel sweetness and a touch of slightly metallic bitterness and that is it for beer. It’s drinkable but very unexceptional.

Pours a muddy yellow with a white head. Taste is lightly raspberry but heavy on the bitterness. A mix of floral and fruity. Berries come through in the aroma and a slight bit in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not quite as tasty as the aroma would lead you to believe. Drinkable on a hot summer day but forgettable.
