A light ale made with 100% real raspberries in every batch. The rasberries give this beer a fruity aroma while keeping the beer balanced in taste. The raspberry flavor is not "oversweet" or "overpowering". We believe our beers should be "beer 1st,fruit 2nd".

Bought a 12 FL OZ bottle of this from Donnie’s Homespun Pizza in Decatur, IL for $4. Poured from the Bright Red/Green/Black Labeled bottle into a 16oz Stone IPA Pint Glass. Had no freshness date on the bottle. Aroma- Big sweetness and light raspberries make up this nose. Candied and very seducing. Appearance- Pours no head at all... Hmm. Carbonation or date issues? No lacing is left either. The body is a dark and deep orange color. Flavor- Has an upfront sweet flavor and then breaks into an average wheat flavor. Raspberry flavor was dry and well hidden... No hops or bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, High Carbonation, and has a slight raspberry finish. Better then the flavor! Overall Impression- A decent fruit beer by Dark Horse but expected much more from these guys! It could have been an outdated brew but who knows without the B.O.D. Average when it comes down to it.

Pours a hazy orange-amber color with aroma of raspberry and wheat. Raspberry flavor with wheat. Raspberry is not too overpowering.

Pretty typical raspberry ale as per the old guard of craft brewing. It’s sort of a slightly malty amber ale with a good dollop of raspberry flavor. You get some caramel sweetness and a touch of slightly metallic bitterness and that is it for beer. It’s drinkable but very unexceptional.

Pours a muddy yellow with a white head. Taste is lightly raspberry but heavy on the bitterness. A mix of floral and fruity. Berries come through in the aroma and a slight bit in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not quite as tasty as the aroma would lead you to believe. Drinkable on a hot summer day but forgettable.

Better than what the ratings on the site reflect. Smooth for a fruity beer, not too sweet or overpowering. I'd drink again.

BOD 1/5/16. Cloudy mid range amber pour. Below normal head volume, normal retention and normal lacing. Rather light nose of raspberry over a moderately sweet malt base with hints of caramel. Light body with a smooth texture, a bit heavier than water. Slightly below normal carbonation with a hint of effervescence in the middle and a stronger finish. While not bad, the flavor profile really doesn’t deliver much. Mild raspberry flavor, light middle bitterness and only a hint of sweetness. The bitterness has a tart element that is unripe fruit in nature as much as it is hop oriented. The finish is a slow fade of not quite ripe fruit.

330ml bottle (Alus Celle, Riga). Hazy orange color. Small size, white head, stays. Yeasty, dirty cloth, semi-rotten raspberries in aroma. Sweetish, raspberries, spicy hops, spruce and some rose pepper in taste. Spruce and raspberry in aftertaste. Pleasant fruityness on tongue. Drinkable.

Sweetish berry aroma, watery too though. Dusty carpet. Mid orange, small tight persistent head. Simple sweetish berries and malts. Dirty minerals. Some hoppy bitterness. Extremely dull and boring fruit beer. Not for me.
