I got this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a off white head. Taste citrus, bread/biscuits, malt. I thought this was ok. I wouldn't drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle to mini snifter. Copper orange color. Aroma and flavor are bland bready biscuity malt. Faint grassy hop aroma. If you try real hard, you may get a hint of grapefruit on the finish. A fine example of focusing on the gimmick first and the beer second, or so it would seem.

Pours a reddish brass color with substantial white frothy head. Initially poured clear, but opted to add the sediment. Liked it better that way. Aroma is faintly citrus an bisquit. Flavor is the same. Their is unique note both the aroma and flavor that may be blood orange... if so, it reminds me more dried orange then fresh. It has a light floral perfumy character. Sweeter fruit rather then tart. A hint of dry finish. Overall pleasant enough, with a unique flavor profile, but not overly exciting. My guess, it would be great with Szechuan food.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orangish gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of musty grain with some earthy citrus and a hint of bitterness. Flavor has sweet citrus and earthy grains with a bit of a biscuit note underlying.

Bottle. Pours a dingy orange with a thin head and aromas of a little bit of orange blossom and some dusty grain. Flavor is pretty bland... a bit of grain and some light orange fruitiness. This one is a disappointment.

Bottle from Jim’s in Mundelberg. Pours an unclear orangey tan with an off white head. Aroma has stone fruits, sweet malts, and tangy other fruits. Taste is of sweet malts, toffee, caramel, blood orange, raspberry, and citrus fruits. Medium bodied, which was thicker than expected. A touch of alcohol. Finishes fruity, stony and a touch bitter. Decent brew, from a solid brewery. Not sure what they were trying to do. 13.3

Aroma of blood orange, grapefruit, fresh cut grass. Appears hazy copper-orange, no foam or lace. Taste has a grapefruit bitterness with an orange juice sweetness. Palate is lightly fizzy, and has the feeling of wben the enzymes in pineapple juice digest you. Overall, light, enjoyable.

Bottle & draft. Pours cloudy orange amber. Tiny off white head. Mild orange aroma. Flavor is citrus with a very mild bitterness. I love Dark Horse and was expecting something more out of this. Overall its a slightly above average beer for me. Probably not something I’ll seek out if it gets bottled again, but I could see drinking ii in the beer garden on a warm summer day.
