3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Tap: Opaque brown-copper body, lighter amber near top and bottom. Creamy eggshell head, a lace ring or two is left behind. Aroma is juicy, spicy orange flesh and orange peel. Slightly sugary, Pez candy like, a bit of wheat, too? Taste is wheaty, tastes like a fruited wheat beer... Need to confirm. Hint of orange zest, not as strong as I’d like it. Kind if normal orange, not much "blood" orange. Very mild tartness mid palate that fades to a dry, wheat finish. Light toasty malt, too. Thin, crisp mouth feel. Decent at first, but the orange vibrancy grows with warmth & beer gets better. Pretty nice fruited ale by the end of the glass.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light gold with white head. Light body with lots of carbonation. Sweetness from citrus fruits, bitterness from the orange peel, possibly a slight hop flavor. Very light and drinkable but reminds me more of a pilsner than a pale ale, would like to have bigger hop flavor.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Blood orange and caramel malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large off-white head. Sweet blood orange, caramel malt, and mildly bitter herbal orange peel flavor. Pleasant.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a copper color with a white foam head. Aroma is orange and grass. Flavor is sweet orange but not much else. For being called a pale ale, there is surprisingly no bitterness. More bland than the name suggests.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
One of a large number of samples I had at the Extreme Beer Fest in Boston 3/21/32014. Interesting is a good word.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Translucent orange with small particles. Corn flakes, tangerines, mineral water and hay. Taste is lightly sweet. Body is lighter with strong carbonation. Liked the name, but the beer didn’t seem to match.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355ml bottle. Hazed amber pour. Orange in the aroma, not sweet orange htough, kind of like bitters. Flavor has some interesting non-orange notes, like almost smokey. Orange flavor is only a supplementary flavor. A decent but confusing beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle thanks to Cory (Blowofftube). Nose is a weird, processed orange sorta flavor with a weird malt dustiness. Very hazy orange color, small white head. Taste is like green apples and oranges. Interesting. I think there is something going on with the pale ale itself that seems a bit off. overall, ok, but not one I’d buy

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The beer itself is pretty refreshing but it lacks a little something in the flavor. Good pool drinking beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy orange-copper, with almost no head. Aroma and flavor are straight lager--why is this called a pale ale?
