UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Tap: Opaque brown-copper body, lighter amber near top and bottom. Creamy eggshell head, a lace ring or two is left behind. Aroma is juicy, spicy orange flesh and orange peel. Slightly sugary, Pez candy like, a bit of wheat, too? Taste is wheaty, tastes like a fruited wheat beer... Need to confirm. Hint of orange zest, not as strong as I’d like it. Kind if normal orange, not much "blood" orange. Very mild tartness mid palate that fades to a dry, wheat finish. Light toasty malt, too. Thin, crisp mouth feel. Decent at first, but the orange vibrancy grows with warmth & beer gets better. Pretty nice fruited ale by the end of the glass.

Aroma of blood orange, grapefruit, fresh cut grass. Appears hazy copper-orange, no foam or lace. Taste has a grapefruit bitterness with an orange juice sweetness. Palate is lightly fizzy, and has the feeling of wben the enzymes in pineapple juice digest you. Overall, light, enjoyable.

Bottle & draft. Pours cloudy orange amber. Tiny off white head. Mild orange aroma. Flavor is citrus with a very mild bitterness. I love Dark Horse and was expecting something more out of this. Overall its a slightly above average beer for me. Probably not something I’ll seek out if it gets bottled again, but I could see drinking ii in the beer garden on a warm summer day.

On tap @ World Of Beers, Evanston. Hazy orange-gold, minimal head. Aroma is grainy with orange peel undertones. The palate is pretty much the same, but quite mild, and lacking any bitterness or dryness. Just ok.

Cloudy, brownish-orange with a white head. The aroma has mild fruit notes. It has a light, lively body with sweet taste and a refreshing, quick finish.

tap at 2015 michigan winter beer fest. Amber orange with small head. Was a bit let down by this one. On the bland side, this is a pretty average wheat beer with some mild orange flavor. Was expecting something a bit more punchy for a Slayer-inspired beer.

EBF 2015.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear dark orange amber color, off-white head cover, a few globs of lace. Taste is malt infused with orange citrus that moves easily through the palate to a mildly hopped finish that never forgets the citrus malt. A comfortable, easy-to-drink brew, quite enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle. Orange color in pour. Taste is a slightly sugary orange zest. Not like other pales for sure.

Pours a light gold with white head. Light body with lots of carbonation. Sweetness from citrus fruits, bitterness from the orange peel, possibly a slight hop flavor. Very light and drinkable but reminds me more of a pilsner than a pale ale, would like to have bigger hop flavor.
