Wow! This is a VERY good brew. I’ve heard this refered too as a black IPA...its not. It’s more like a porter with a little more hop bitterness...but barely. Nose is roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Very full body with a chewy mouthfeel. Bittersweet hop and dark coffee aftertaste. Very unique....very tasty!

Draught @ Fermentoren, Århus. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, expresso, dried dark fruit. Flavor is light sweet, malty, coffee, cookies, licorice, dried fruit, light alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation, light warming alcohol in the finish. Very nice, in a good way feels a little stronger than the 7,5% ABV. 260215

Bottle into fancy stout glass. Ok tan head. Black beer. Great aroma of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, leather and some coffee. Taste is dry and quite bitter - almost aggressive. If they tones this down a notch and smoothed it out would be fantastic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a teku glass showing dark black center with very thin coffee brown rims and coffee colored sparse foam. The nose shows a lot of cacao and dark chocolate with some hints of coffee bean. The palate is medium-full bodied with a lot of roasted malt and coffee bean flavors. A slight black coffee tartness in the middle with a good black coffee bitterness at the finish. The finish is long and roasty. Achieves exactly what the brewer set out to do.

Great porter with chocolate and coffee notes. Very robust like a stout, but slightly lighter in body. On the sweet side with not a lot of hops character.

Served in teku, small bottle. Pours totally black with beige, medium head. Head retention looks pretty good. Aroma is mostly caramel, some maltiness along with piney hint. All of that goes well with distinct dark chocolate smell. Taste is quite complex, much chocolate, some caramel and toast, although chocolate is most dominant, however, its rather kind of chocolate cookie or biscuit. There is mild bitterness in finish, mostly grass or herbs, mixed well with all that chocolate stuff. Finish is deep and long. Softly carbonated. Great beer, overall impression is that its kind of raw and earthy porter. Very good and enjoyable.
