Pours black with a roasty brown head. At first aroma is faint with hints of vanilla, cocoa and chocolate. The flavor was very smooth and had subtle fllavors of malts, semi sweet chocolate, dark fruit and coffee. Very Well Done

Poured into a teku glass showing dark black center with very thin coffee brown rims and coffee colored sparse foam. The nose shows a lot of cacao and dark chocolate with some hints of coffee bean. The palate is medium-full bodied with a lot of roasted malt and coffee bean flavors. A slight black coffee tartness in the middle with a good black coffee bitterness at the finish. The finish is long and roasty. Achieves exactly what the brewer set out to do.

Great porter with chocolate and coffee notes. Very robust like a stout, but slightly lighter in body. On the sweet side with not a lot of hops character.

Served in teku, small bottle. Pours totally black with beige, medium head. Head retention looks pretty good. Aroma is mostly caramel, some maltiness along with piney hint. All of that goes well with distinct dark chocolate smell. Taste is quite complex, much chocolate, some caramel and toast, although chocolate is most dominant, however, its rather kind of chocolate cookie or biscuit. There is mild bitterness in finish, mostly grass or herbs, mixed well with all that chocolate stuff. Finish is deep and long. Softly carbonated. Great beer, overall impression is that its kind of raw and earthy porter. Very good and enjoyable.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, cocoa, roast, some nice earthy tones into more sweet lactose and chocolate notes, some slight yeast. Taste is sweet cocoa, roast, dark coffee, some earthy tones into a bit of caramel, toffee, finishing sweet, roasty. Good stuff.

330ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with beige brown creamy frothy head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee. Sweet and bitter taste like the aroma with the addition of dark fruits. Medium to full body, oily, soft carbonation.

330 ml bottle, pours black with a tan head, lovely thick body on this withlots of roasty, chocolate malt, with a bit of smoke and some piney hop. Finish is short and dry, bitter. Love the full body on this very rich in the mouth with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Lovely stuff.

355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours jet black, no head. Whisper of carbonation. Big tar and liquorice aromas, burnt fruit. Taste is rich, sweet, oily. Needs a little zest to lift it, bit cloying. Nice enough.

McWorta (708) - LUXEMBOURG - NOV 30, 2014
Black colour with a medium light cream tan head with good lacings. Aromas of dark bitter chocolate dominate on the nose but also toasted malt notes and coffee aromas develop with a very restrained light fruit-hoppyness (retronasal). Softly carbonated with a light slick-creamy texture this beer is offering a light sweetness with a harmonic roasted chocolate malt bitterness in a medium body. The finish is chocolatey and well lasting. Good porter!
