355ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a tiny beige head, which neither lasts well nor leaves much lacing. Bitter coffee and dark chocolate malt notes mix with a slight charry scent to create the aroma. Very mild herbal and citrus hops give way to bittersweet dark chocolate in the mid-palate, with a strong coffee bitterness coming into the finish, along with an odd off-sweet flavour. This offers fairly standard porter flavours, and is a passable effort, although not exactly exciting.

A pitch black beer with a thick dark tan coloured head. A strong roasted malt aroma, nutty and dark chocolate, plus hints of fruit and smoke. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is very bitter sweet. Roasted malt flavours, nutty and bitter dark chocolate, plus a smokiness. This is followed by a sweeter fruity flavour, red fruit and candied fruit that brings on a late zestiness. Bottle from Beers of Europe.
