Rich coffee and roasted chocolate aroma, mingled with a hint of wood and vanilla sugar. Pours a oil dark black, with a coffee and cream head. Mellowed coffee flavor and a hint of mole with pumpkinseeds and fresh chocolate. Oily, sweet and slick. Has a wonderful aromatic vanilla and cream quality, over a more reserved roastedness. Finish is a little salty and oaty, with plenty of appropriate dryness.

Thanks to Secret Santa for this beer. Poured black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of bitter roasted coffee and chocolate-covered cherries. Taste is mildly sweet with roasted bittersweet choclate dominating and a touch of fruitiness topped off with some citrus and pine hops, leading to a dry bitter finsih. Roasty, bitter, and good.

deep dark brown color. rich tan head. Aroma faint, but roasty and chocolate. Flavor is thin up front developing into a full somewhat roasty but mostly bitter punch. A little more harsh of a porter than I am used to.

This porter pours an eclipse black color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is chocolate, roasty nearly burnt malts and coffee. A medium to full bodied porter. Malts are very roasty, nearly burnt with lots of chocolate and coffee flavors. Slightly spicy hops. Smooth taste. Lots of roasty flavors. Found this beer buried in the back of the fridge, a pleasant surprise. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is bitter.

Pitch black colored with a foamy brown head. Hard roasted aroma with coffee and liquorice. Strong and warming from the alcohol. Dry coffee and roasted flavor, biding on the tongue with a sour edge from the roasted malt. A bit short in the finish, but all in all a lovely beer!
