Tap. Near black with small head. Medium bourbon overwhelms much off the underlying flavor. Dark chocolate, vanilla and mild root beer notes.

Bottle thanks to Rob. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is medicine and platic. Medium mouth, very sweet, odd flavors similar to nose, nah.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, 2015 vintage bottling. Pours pitch black color with a 1 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, licorice, mint, cola, wood, light bourbon, and herbal/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, vanilla/root spice, and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, licorice, mint, cola, wood, light bourbon, and herbal/oak earthiness. Light herbal/woody spiciness and roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, licorice, mint, wood, light bourbon, and herbal/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, vanilla/root spice, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and creamy/silky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome barrel aged spiced imperial stout style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, vanilla/root spice, and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. The overall bourbon presence was low; but the silky mouthfeel and additional flavor complexity that go along with barrel aging were very prominent. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Thanks Jeff! Aroma is awesome. Huge root beer and vanilla bean. Tastes slightly medicinal. Root beer, vanilla, oak, and a light cough syrup finish. Thin to medium body. Good

Bottle from flandersned-thanks, Steve! Looks great-viscous, completely opaque, moderate carbonation. Nose is muted root beer, some toasty oak, licorice, complex but hard to find. Oily mouthfeel, massive coconut, vegetal root beer (guess thatís the sarsaparilla?), starts sweet with ashy and bitter finish, lingering dark licorice. Complex, unique one here.

12 oz. bottle thanks going to fishmich on this one. Aroma is completely root beer soda aged in oak, what in the hell? That is different.

The flavor has a huge earth root beer flavor. Barrel is only slightly noticeable, mild sarsaparilla root, chocolate and a lingering earth root note. Traces of vanilla and notes of mint leaves. Honestly, I wanted to like this but it is way to herbal and earthy. The stout flavors barely gets through tall the craziness. Meh.

Tastes astonishingly similar to root beer, like one of those hard root beers that other breweries are putting out but not as sweet and more beer-like in texture. A fairly complex beer with some good stuff going on, but a kind of bland nose holds it back from greatness.

Sample at bainbridge care of Nate. Poured dark color, mostly brown. Notes are shaving cream, spice, cinnamon, cocoa, and light root beer but not enough root for me. Barrel heat is pretty restrained for the pct. Medium bodied. Overall, this was interesting but glad I only had a couple zís

Bottle thanks to fishmich! Pours inky black with a small brown head that dissipates quickly to a ring and a flim, but laces decentl nontheless. Aroma is anise root, I guess that is sasparilla root, bourbon, licorice, roasted malts. Flavor is nicer than aroma, chocolatey, root beer notes, roasty and rich. Quite sweet, light bitterness, some light barrel and bourbon influence, but not strong. Fullish body, cream mouthfeel. A bit of a distasteful aftertaste. Definitely a different take on things. I honestly donít know whether I like it or not, but I am appreciating all of the waves of nuance coming at me. Oh, and some definite ABV burn as well.

Bottle pours black with light tan head. Aroma is roast and light root beer spice. Taste is rich roast and boozy root beer spice. Nice
