On tap at Dark Horse on 8/7/15. Pours hazy amber with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, herbs and some hop. Malt and pineapple (for whatever reason) flavor with a crisp and piney finish.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/4/2015. Pours lightly hazy reddish orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of juicy apricot, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, chamomile, light cinnamon/clove, honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of apricot, chamomile, citrus hops, and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of juicy apricot, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, chamomile, light cinnamon/clove, honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, chamomile, light cinnamon/clove, lemon/orange peel, pineapple, light pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of apricot, chamomile, citrus hops, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderate creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice fruit/spiced pale ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of apricot, chamomile, citrus hops, and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Interesting beer. You get the apricot flavors up front then quickly taste the chamomile flavors. Good beer for fall weather.

12oz bottle, from Dutch’s. Dated 8.11.15. Big chamomile floral character up front, followed b apricot. Kind of an interesting herbal / spice character to it. Pours a totally hazy darker amber color. Thin pale khaki head. Leaves some sort of loose ropes of lace. Medium-plus body, kind of a full feel to it. Nice bit of creme character. Light slick texture. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Moderate sweet taste. Nice tang. Mild bitter. Tasty, interesting, unique fruit beer.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks subpar with tons of sediment. I didn’t even pour the last 20% of the bottle in because there was already more than enough sizable floaties in my beer. Beer is a hazy orangish bronze with fizzy off-white head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells fruity and hoppy with notes of apricot and mild chamomile alongside a mildly bittersweet backbone. Tastes like it smells, but with a bit more of a chamomile presence. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a pleasant apricot tang to it. Good beer in every way but appearance.

On tap at The Buck. Pours cloudy golden with a decent off-white head and an apricot aroma. There is a lovely apricot flavor with some spices in the finish.
