COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An extremely hoppy ale, that really does smell like weed.

Really good suds. Appearance is long lasting off white head, lace, &da clear medium amber color. Aroma is hop weedy malt hints of oak & spice. Flavor’s like aroma, with carbonic tang , perfect amount of bittersweet, although something a bit off in the finish. Great body. Killer beer in any case.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2014 Mörk färgad Dipa. Doftar kraftigt av blöt svensk sommaräng. Smaken perfekt balanserad . Smakar riktigt amerikanskt å oerhört krämig fruktigtigt . Woow överraskad blir jag att denna öl kniper topp betyget denna sommar.

Aroma is sweet, oranges, tropical fruit, not weed. Appearance is orange, burnt amber, white head. Taste is boozy, super hoppy, pine, grapefruit. Mouthfeel is nice, a tart carbonation but sticky and thick. Overall, didn’t smell like weed. However, it’s pretty damn good.

Wonderful beer. On tap right at the source. Nice piney aroma matches a great piney taste. This is a must try. Pairs well with the garlic cheese bread.

Great label and love the name. Pours a medium oak color, hazy, darker than most IPA’s. Head is off white and small, some lacing. Initially I get a fruity aroma, peach like that reminds me of Two Heart, the fruity aspect remains but the peach is gone. Great flavor and balance with the fruity esters, a mild sweetness from the caramel malts, and a bitterness that builds and lingers.

Bottle, listed 8.5% ABV. Pours a cloudy amber with a thick-ish khaki head that settles to a ring and leaves plenty of fine spotty lace. Nose involves plenty of pine resin, apricot, herbal notes, quite fruity, and apparently a strain of the sticky icky I have not yet encountered. Fairly sweet, very bitter. Medium to full bodied, quite oily, softer carb, resinous, with a long sticky piney bitter finish. A nice IPA, pretty aggressive yet drinkable.

Bottle from Deconinck, Vichte. Cloudy amber colour, creamy white foam. Fruity aroma of passion fruit, litchi and grapefruit. Also hints of peach and honey. Sweet with bitter finish. Well balanced. Very good.

På flaska bra Queens Head. Mörk brun färg. Doftar som en sommaräng. En perfekt smak av söt honung som rundas av sv en beska och sötms som kommer tillbaka.

Bottle, 0.355l. Cloudy amber brown color with medium creamy off-white head and fair lacing. Aroma of passion fruit, lychee, dried fruits, caramel and toasted malt. Taste starts with moderate sweet toasted malt with dried fruity sweetness, follows by refreshing fruitiness, moderate astringency, warming mouthfeel and heavy bitter finish. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Rich and nicely balanced double IPA with well hidden alcohol...

Double IPA with a beautiful deep coppery amber colour, clear but slightly hazy with deposit, vivid sparkling and dense, creamy, lacing, egg white head. Strong and very inviting, yet assertive aroma of hemp, dried lime peel, pink grapefruit, juniper berries, pine resin, soap, bitter honey, candied orange, sundried tomatoes, wormwood, apple cake, vermouth, gin, biscuit, wet hay, cured meat and cigarette tobacco. Very fruity, vivid, sparkling onset, peach, pineapple, lots and lots of grapefruit from the first sip, medium carbo, smooth, slick and a bit oily mouthfeel ensuring a (dangerously) high drinkability, caramelly and nutty malt sweetishness, ending in a very long and dry, spicy, peppery and - needless to say - utterly citrussy and ’grapefruity’ hop bitterness, attacking the throat but nevertheless remaining gentle and aromatic, thus allowing for complementary malt sweetness to come through; a late and deep, gin-like, warming alcohol effect is there, but in all the alcohol remains well hidden. Though I tend to associate IPAs and DIPAs more with sunny weather, this is a fantastic winter warmer on Christmas Eve. Another splendid hop-laden American beer which indeed smells a lot of weed, as is stated above (but weed and hops being in the same plant family, this comes as no surprise). A treat for true hopheads.
