A richly malty ale, with clear characteristics of dark chocolate and black malt, and hints of black licorice, ale fruitiness, and molasses in the finish.

Light, but rich and sweet. Coconut twist and finishes off with well balanced bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from BottleSelect.com. Pours dark brown/black with a slight tan head. Aroma is complex, but there’s licorice and treacle. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, treacle, dark fruit, licorice. Lots of flavors in this one. Finishes a bit undry, but with all the flavors that’s not a problem.

Bottle. Black with a small ok lacing beige head. Fruity and roasted nose with some very light toffee. Light/medium body with some roasted bitterness though mostly sweet. Roasted malt, chocolate, light nuts, light burnt. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Ok porter but noting spectacular. Better things can be found at the same price maybe even with a prettier label.
