3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle in a snifter. Pours near black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, light coffee and smokiness, some chocolate, and hints of dough and bitterness. Flavor the same, but a little light on everything. Average texture. A decent porter, but could be more flavorful.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Intense roasted malts, coffee, awesome chocolate.. dunno.. I have tried more chocolaty brews, but this one was kinda bullseye for what I like, licorice , bit fruity. Smooth Nicely balanced brew.
Ofc.. its not very close to iconic beers, but anyways.. pleasantly enjoyable

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, 355 ml.
Deep dark brown to black in colour with a small creamy beige head on its top.
Smell of in alcohol dipped cherries and chocolate.
The rather mild, but complex aroma brings dried cherries, coffee, caramel and chocolate along.
Mouthfeel is slick to oily.
The finish is long and sweetbitter escorted by mild licorice, gently warming alcohol and cherries.
Refined and delicious.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another good beer from Dark Horse. Rich chocolatey coffee-flavored porter. One of the better porters I’ve had.
