Pours a dark ruby with a thick tan foam head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, and some roast. Flavor is very similar, a little bit sweet, no bitterness. Body is a tad thin, but this is an excellent porter.

Bottle, forgot where, possibly La Atlantica’ Bottle Shop, Satiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain. Consumed in Frank (camper) Camping Memling, Brugge, 5th December 2014. Pours dark chestnut brown with ruby glints, soft and a little creamy in mouth. A little roasty with a dark fruit tanginess a dab of spent watery coffee granules. This retains a good bite throughout, quite a good porter. Just looking forward to some Coquelle St Jaques not sure that this is what I would describe as a great match but we’ll see.
