3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma and taste of chocolate. Small amounts of coffee. With the abv in mind I would have appreciated more complexity and flavour. Decent, but nothing i will by again.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark pour full fluffy tan head. Aroma of light hops a bit of anise but covered by a big dose of slightly bitter chocolates and a bit of syrupy sweetness. Full well coated palate. Flavor followed the aroma. Delicious porter.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Virginia Beach, VA. Dark brown cola-like pour with a quick head. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate, and light floral hops. Taste is espresso, smoke, and dark chocolate with hints of licorice. The dark roasted malt does not leave an overwhelming presence on the palate. A solid porter.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Downer Wine & Spirits. Pours a near opaque black with a light tan head leaving a lot of spotty lacing. Luscious! Aroma has molasses and chocolate with some roast. Taste is of sweet chocolate, some roast and some fruitiness. Fairly thin. Solid flavor palate on the more sweet side of bittersweet. Finishes a bit short. Expecting a bit more from DH due to their other porters and stouts.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma is salty, blackcurrant, roasted malts, coffee, some milk chocolat, hint of bacon. Quite dry in taste, though there is some sweetness as well, hint of sour (coffeewise). Bitterness mostly from the malts. Quite astringent because of the dryness and the soft sourness, because of the high amount of dark malts I guess. To be honest, there’s nothing wrong with the beer, but it’s just not my personal favorite taste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours dark opaque brown black with a small tan head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Very roasty aroma, with notes of coffee, cigarettes, perhaps anise. Flavor the same, light sweet, not a lot of bitterness, but definitely a coffee and cigarettes feel, with some chocolate. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel Good effort.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice, easily drinkable porter. The body was just right, not too thin or bold - allowing for a satisfying bitter finish full of cocoa and soft molasses. Thanks for the share, Jordan.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks for the bottle, Jason. Aroma is roast, some vanilla, dark chocolate, and molasses. Pour is oily black with a tan head. Palate is oily, too. Roasted flavors and molasses dominate this brew with a slight coffee and sweet sugary finish.
