A richly malty ale, with clear characteristics of dark chocolate and black malt, and hints of black licorice, ale fruitiness, and molasses in the finish.

Poured in my tulip, this beer pods nice but little head. Light chocolate and malt on the nose. Palate is light but good. The taste is not overly bitter. Lots of malt and chocolate and dark candy seen to come out on this. Hints of dark licorice and raisin also are noted. I'm sort of surprised this has a low score, I'm going back to buy the rest of the inventory. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark in color on pour with a brownish head. There was a nice chocolate and smoke flavor to this beer. Not as sweet as most porters, and closers to a stout beer.

Smell of licorice, coffee. Dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, tar. Sweet and somewhat bitter. Soft but plentiful carbon, half-velvety texture.

This poured a medium to darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of chocolate and light roast, fairly muted though. Flavor more chocolate forward, very creamy, almost milky. Another tasty DH beer.

Bottle. Molasses, licorice, and chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with huge tan head. Sweet molasses, licorice, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice body. Very solid.

Sexy black dress pour, gives good head, lots of lace- your a perv. Blueberry chocolate aroma, light smoke cherrywood. Caramel, nut, real nice. Same in taste. Very smooth creamy, almost not a porter but more a stout, real nice. Some earthy, slight citrus pine. Me like.

A 10 minute pour......the head blew up an inch over the top of the glass and didn’t allow the rest of the bottle to be poured in for 8 minutes, then foamed again as the last 2 ounces were put in. Disappointing. Aroma is washed out but hints of coffee, little else.....taste is quite good, coffee, unsweetened chocolate, nicely bittered, but obviously overcarbed. Pity.

Black-brown color with small beige head. Sweet chocolate aroma. Taste is surprisingly light, but still very rich, sweet chocolate, a hint of spices, spicy finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Light and full at the same time. A very good Porter!

Nice porter aroma, liquorice and coffee. The flavour and mouthfeel are a bit thin, considering its 7% abv. Not quite there .
