Pours black with red around the edges. Tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of chocolate coffee and malty sweetness a little licorice also. Thick mouth feel for a lower alcohol content. Taste of the same. Very nice ale but I like one a little better.

SinH4 (353) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 27, 2015
Black color with small beige head that dissipates completely. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts. Taste is coffee, more roasted malts, freshness from the lactic character, a hint of tartness, slightly bitter finish. Full mouthfeel, nice fine-perly carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice for such a rather "weak" stout.

crazyvin (2009) - New York, USA - JAN 21, 2015
A black body with a thin brown head that had good retention. Aroma had a nice blend of malts mostly roasted and chocolate malts. A hint of coffee and leather. Flavor had a nice roasted malt profile. Sweetness from chocolate malts and milk sugar paired well. A nice smooth finish. Nice mouth feel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle into pint glass. Minneapolis. Pours dark black- looks thick like oil, with a beautiful beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted coffee. Taste is dry and slightly bitter. Body is light and frothy. Texture is slick. Clean finish.

Rating from October 2010....Dark as used motor oil with an added swirl of tan--dark tan.....super rich coffee malty aroma...very lacy--taste is incredibly rich with a milk stout quality to it--sugarish richness with a splash of heavy cream and chocolate & coffee....wow...a power bomb of a beer---super creamy on the palate and just an overall yum for a cream stout--dessert

Bottle. Oily black with a thin, quickly dissipating mocha head. Aroma is charred malt, soy sauce and fudge. Taste follows and adds some graham cracker. Creamy mouthfeel and strong carb. Very good.
