Great aroma of coffee with milk and sugar. It’s combined with aroma of chocolate and very dark bread. The beer is pitch black, with tanned, creamy head. In taste it’s mostly coffee, dark malts, a bit of chocolate. Aftertaste is dominated by bitterness. It’s not very huge, but still strict and all-out. Beer is not very sweet at all. Mouth feel is good. It’s very creamy and velvety. But I was hoping for something more thick and dense. In overall it’s great beer, but still not the perfect one.

Pours a viscous-looking, close to black body with a small, medium brown head that laces the glass well. Sweet, malty, roasted and strong aroma of dark caramel, dark chocolate and a touch of generic fruits. Strong flavour of dark caramel and chocolate, with coffee, fruits, vanilla and ash in the back, all encapsulated in a lactic whole. Moderate sweet and moderate bitter taste. Mid-bodied, oily and smooth texture, soft carbonation. Splendid!
[33 cl bottle, from Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge, Oslo]

The name says it all! Too Cream! This is one of my top five favorite stouts. Very smith and creamy. Just a hint of smokiness. Just great! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Pours black with a small dark beige head and little to no lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts. Taste has a gentle sweetness, chocolate, roasted malts, and only a hint of bitterness from the hops. Creamy medium mouthfeel. This is a delicious and easy to drink stout.

Sorry, but a "stout"? A "SWEET stout"??? Really????? Hard to get any head out of this, nevertheless it stays OK. The mouth-feel lacks creamyness and reminds more of a porter than anything else. So does the coffee notes and the (much too strong bitterness). Nevertheless, not a bad beer in terms of taste and length, but missed the style totally, imo.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 13B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 5070-2. AROMA: roasted aroma with sweet notes of chocolate and some coffe. no hop aromas. no diacetyl. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. Average brown head with medium-low retention. TASTE: nice flavour of chocolate and roasted coffe with a sweet background. low bitterness and a sweet finish. PALATE: medium-low body with a lack of creaminess. medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a very nice sweet stout with strong aromas and flavours of chocolate and coffe. the body should be more full.

Bottle. Pours black with a frothy dark brown head. Looks wonderful. Coffee, licorice in the nose. Taste is coffee, chocolates, licorice. Some dough, perhaps. I don’t know what else to call that.
