A full bodied stout made with all malted barley and blueberry. Flavors of chocolate, roast malt and light blueberry make up the palate with lots of fruity blueberry aroma.

Heavy roasted malt notes in aroma and flavor, but tremendously smooth. Nice blueberry flavor doesnít take over, and is a nice complement to its light body and fireside roast bitterness. Yummy

4.5%? seriously? probably the best use of blueberry (a fruit i generally donít prefer in beer, though i like blueberries) in a brew that iíve ever tried. huge blueberry aroma, not in the least fake, like it usually turns out. pretty thick for a low abv beer. the flavor is more stout than the aroma, which was 50 50 at best. nice roasted malt, chocolate, berries, with a slight lingering tart berry finish mixed in with roasty goodness. surprisingly well done."

Bottle at home. Has a pitch black colour with a medium, creamy, light brown head. Roasted and sweet aroma of coffee, ash, dark chocolate, leather and oak. Roasted malt also in the flavour along with more ash, wood and coffee beans. Has a slick and silky mouthfeel, and a medium bitterness. A well-roasted and pleasant stout, but canít find much of the blueberries.

Bottle. Very dark black pour. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted grain, coffee and blueberries. Taste is roasted grain, coffee, dark chocolate, dark roasted grain and some blueberries. just enough that you can taste it and so that it melds nicely with the traditional stout flavors. It has a light-to-medium body. A very nice stout that I would drink again.

12oz bottle from The Beer Shoppe (Ardmore PA). Shared with Bob F. after work. Pours a thin black color with a small foamy dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, light sweet artificial blueberry, and roasted malt. Taste of sweet blueberry up front, followed by dark roasted malt, and milk chocolate.

What a fantastic beer! Definitely my second favorite in the dark horse stout series only behind plead the 5th. A great stout with a nice blueberry flavor that doesnít overpower. I drank a year and a half old tres recently, ages well. Reccomend.

Bottled. Vigorous pour, pitch black with a medium tan head thatís quickly diminishing. Aroma is big blueberry aroma, As soon as the cap was off, I could smell it. Mixed in with chocolate in the background. flavor is very chocolatey and malty, with the fruits (blueberry) shining clearly in the middle, and some coffee bitterness in the aftertaste. Very nice mix of the chocolate, blueberry, coffee flavors all coming through at different points. Itís really good, a great a balance. No overpowering disgusting blueberry on the flavor. Also a nice creamy almost oatmeal-like mouthfeel which is nice and creamy. I really dig this a lot. One of my favorite stouts.

Fairly dark brown, nearly black. Aroma of blueberry and roasted malt. Interesting mix of fruity sweetness, bitter roasted malt, and chocolate.
