UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 Tap: Muddled, muddy looking crimson-red body light a fresh pressed raspberry skin bloodbath. No head at all - not even a film or collar. Aroma is gushing raspberry juice, jam, & preserves; mostly sweet with a tartness that crescendos with each sniff. Mild vinegar & acidic sourness. The freshness of the fruit is impressive. Taste has a nice sour bite up front; fresh, lightly sour raspberry juice that fades into a subtle sweetness. Grape skin, almost vinous, with a lightly tart & sweet raspberry jam finish. Would have liked more oak/funk like a true Belgian lambic, but this is still a damn good raspberry "fruit" beer. Solid tartness & great fruit flavor.

Draft to taster at FoBAB. Looks good; a mostly transparent light raspberry (reddish orange) with thin white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; tart and wild with notes of raspberry. Nice on the palate. Enjoyable; definitely the best sour I’ve had from Dark Horse thus far.

On tap at FoBAB 2013 (Chicago, IL). Pours a deeper hazed reddish orange hue, decent haziness, some floaties and loose offwhite head dies to a ring, laces small. Aromas are pulpy raspberry, oranges and lactic acidity. Some firmer yogurt, more fruit and gentle oak. Initial is smaller body, quite crushable with a big lactic element up front. Spritzy lemony life, yogurt, and lemon rind, juice. Touches of oak, funk, straw. Gentle pulpy raspberry, straw, and some oranges grow, a touch sweeter but still nice citric acidity. Backend is still potently sour, raspberry and bgig lkemony lactic presence. Doesn’t cross over into the harsh realm, quite approachable. A bit grainy but some nice stuff. Pleasantly surprised and highly likely this is the best Dark Horse sour beer I’ve had.

Wow, I am really suprised by this one. Poured a hazy pinkish yellow color with a wite head. Aroma was loads of fresh raspberries, mild funk and lemon juice too. Falvor was very fresh raspberries again, tart, and seedy and earthy too, light cheese and llactic finish. Great stuff all around.

On tap at the Michigan Summer Beer Fest. A really good raspberry sour. Really wish I could have this again.
