COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We have dived back into the history books as inspiration for this one. Six different malts give a depth to this beer, which is hopped at five stages of the brewing process to allow the character of the noble hop varieties to shine through.

My Bottom Line:
Superb malt flavours (not sugars) evoke biscuits, coffee, light chocolate and oatmeal while the subtle tartness of blueberries and rising hop resins seal a tantalizing pint of Porter.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A milky froth of a head sits atop the darkness.
-The mouthfeel is very comfortable. A great cellaring job for sure, as well.
-The aroma is a malt lover’s feast.
-Drinkability is relatively high.
-Everything is perfectly balanced and the flavour dosage is just intense enough to make you smack your lips and want more.

On cask at The Harp, Covent Garden.

Cask at evening star
Very dark brown with roasted barley nose. Full bodied, complex coffee and chocolate flavour with complex toasty finish, no sign of booze. Lovely complex porter, slight sourness and licorice in finish. Hope they bottle it!
