The yeast strain used for the brewing of the pale, dry American Ales is specially imported from the USA, along with Cascade and Centennial hops, to produce this pale ale. The low colour Maris Otter malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops.

Sampled from a can from Prohibition Wines. Slightly hazy golden colour with a white head. Fruity aromas and a taste of malt, citrus and mango with undertones of wood and pine resin. A full taste with a lively bitterness. A really good and highly drinkable APA.

Last stop on today beer tour. The Victoria, Lincoln. This beer was a welcome surprise to see on this area. With its golden colour, white head. It had a fruity citrus aroma with a light bitterness throughout. Nice.

Can from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy pale golden in colour with a thin white head of foam. It has a sweet citrus and tropical fruit flavour with malty notes, pine and woody undertones on the smooth finish. Very Good.

From the Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer. Very pale in appearance, with just a lacing of foam. Nose is light, clean, slightly biscuity malt. Palate is excellent: hoppy, light, refreshing. The carbonation is a little too much for my taste, but that’s a very minor quibble.
