omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 22, 2007 Updated: Sep 7, 2007Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear golden. Buttery malt aroma with a god amount of grapefruity hops. Sweet and malty with pleasantly soft mouthfeel. Towards the finish hops take over more. Perhaps not the most complex of beers, but damn good. Too soft for the style, which however is a good thing. oh6gdx (6338), Vaasa, Finland Jan 23, 2006 Casked. Golden colour, mediumsized white bubbly head, which lasts long. Sweet fruity aroma with caramellish hints. Flavour sweet fruity with enormous hoppiness. Also some oaky and spicy hints there. Wellbalanced and pleasant cask, smooth palate. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Sep 9, 2004 Cask@The Evening Star, Brighton. This was quite a nice APA. Very pale gold colour. The first thing you notice in the nose is lychee, and this comes through on the palate, very aromatic hops. Palate was quite dry dry and bitter, with a slight saltyness, definitely drier than a lot of APA’s that i had in the US. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England May 3, 2005 Updated: Aug 8, 2008Cask at Reading Beer Fest with chris_o and duff. Golden colour, reallly hoppy , citrusy nose. Tart lemon citrus fruit flavour that grows towards the finish which is dry, juicy, lemony and hoppy 4.4
Re-rate, oooh which shall I pick? Bottled fresh from the Butcher’s Arms in Herne. I had had a full day on the Saturday and bought a 2 litre bottle of this to take home. Therefore on the Sunday I wasn’t really feeling like a beer, and then I had to have this to make sure it didn’t go off. The grapefruit hop is outstanding and never let down or unbalanced by the malt. The two move together beautifully. A stunning APA TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Mar 17, 2004 Cask conditioned
