COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
The yeast strain used for the brewing of the pale, dry American Ales is specially imported from the USA, along with Cascade and Centennial hops, to produce this pale ale. The low colour Maris Otter malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops.

Gravity cask at the Pembury Tavern on 15th July 2009 during the festival. Pale amber with white head. Very bitter and hoppy, with a sharp grapefruit astringency, culminating in a long, dry, hoppy finish.

On cask @ Thomson’s Bar. Pours golden with a nice head. The nose has a sort of grapefruit marmalade thing going on. The taste is of lemon and grapefruit with good malt profile. Medium bodied and medium texture all through the middle and a clean finish. Overall, good beer.

Half Pint at Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden, short-lived head. Dry, smooth and drinkeable, hops not overdone.

On tap somewhere! Pale gold beer. Dry palate. Mild bittering hops. Not bad but a bit watery.

Cask @ Kitty’s, Helsinki

Pours light orange with a small bubbly head. Nice aroma of exotic fruits, pine, grassy hops and caramel. Taste is fruity and hoppy with notes of exotic fruits, lemon, grass and caramel. Finish is very bitter and fruity. Tasty and easy to drink. Great session beer for hop heads like myself.

[Cask at the Chippenham Beer Festival] Pours clear gold with a loose white head. Piney dominates with a hint of grapefruit. Very bitter, too bitter for me in fact. c3

Nocturne (142) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2012
Cask at Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Colour is pale gold. Brilliant lacing. Mango, citrus, and tropical fruit nose. Mouthfeel a little thin but all that fruity character makes up for it. Grapefruit probably stands out the most. Another really good beer by Dark Star.

Cask. Pale gold, thin white head. Not a great deal of nose. Hoppy in the mouth - lemons, butterscotch and a bitter zest. Some malt sweetness adds to the fullness of flavour here.

08/04/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Dorata, appena torbida, abbondante schiuma biancastra, molto persistente. Aroma delicato di luppolo, leggermente agrumato, e malto. In bocca è decisa ma allo stesso tempo non eccessiva, con un amaro molto persistente e note di malto a stemperare un po’. Corpo leggero, appena "watery", molto bevibile. Davvero una gran bella birra. Tra le migliori APA mai bevute.

Cask at HWBF. Pale amber with white head. Very pleasing citrus hop notes. Light caramel malt structure. Bitter finish. Quite light.
