The taste is leather, wood, leaf, caramel, dark fruit, raisin, currant, hop bite, resin and floral notes, with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Flavoursome and well balanced.

Keg at bat. Nice deep amber with no head, flat. NZ hop aroma, bubblegum, peach, melon, berries. Similar flavours. Quite flat, little sweet and clean. Wasn’t sure at first but pretty decent. Some carb wouldn’t hurt

Handpull, Whitefriars, Coventry, 27/04/13. Deep lacing ruby with a thick beige collar. Huge curry leaf flavour; frozen raspberry, flowers. Nose that too. Dark Star are good.

Cask @ Akkurat. Pours red brown with a surprisingly big white head. American in its heavy, straight forward hoppiness. English in its high drinkability, low carbonation and perfect smoothness. Notes of reisin, caramel, orange cest and herbs.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear copper colour. Rich strawberry aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Really hoppy with plenty of salted strawberry and long resiny bitterness. Lovely!

Cask at Stourbridge Beer Festival; clear copper red pour with off white head, big fruity hop aroma, dark fruit taste with piney hops, passion fruit and peach.

Cask at the Harp. Pours dark red with a slight tan head that lasts well and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malty, fruit and a huge hoppiness. Astringent taste with a moderate bitterness and minimal sweetness.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 17th April 2013. Russet with thin ring of foam and pattern lace. Hoppy aroma. Rich malt and tangy hoppiness in-mouth, with sharp yet delicate citric touch. Hop kick lasts into satisfying grapefruit finish with grassy notes. Light mouthfeel and medium body. A rewarding pint.

Aroma of sweet grassy hops, sweet fruity malts with some caramel, some citrus zest, mixture of citrus fruits
Taste as aroma, touch of toasted malts, fruity caramel, soft dryish grass
Palate - Medium body, sweet palate, bit sticky, soft mouthfeel. Finish a bit dry
Overall - Solid beer

On cask at Halesowen Waggon and Horses - Reddish amber colour with a so,lid white head. Malt fruit nose with notes of berries, citrus and hops. Malty, fruity, toasty taste with orange, apricots and a bitterness at the end. Good.
