Bottle @ home. I’ve had this beer (and loved it) in cask several times, but not had a bottle in years. It had a much sweeter milk-chocolate nose than I was expecting, and did have a full, silky mouthfeel, but disappointingly less coffee than I remember it having. As it came into contact with the air more aroma was released, but it still didn’t give the depth of flavour I thought I’d experienced in it previously.

Espresso black, mocha head. Arabica nose, not much else. Flavour is coffee. Flat carbonation, thin enough body. Oily mouthfeel. Finish has a touch of hop resinous bitterness. Nice, but a bit one dimensional.

A smooth, mild stout flavour (roasted malts and some hops) laced with a decent amount of coffee. Quite light so it goes down quickly and easily.

Thanks to Dutchdrebus. Bottle doesn’t look very appealing and tries to look trendy. Aroma is good but don’t like coffee and neither do I like beer trying to be coffee.

Drunk in 10 mins before going to meet an old friend. Helped me talk more shite than usual. Then I had black coffee that tasted like coffee, rather than beer pretending to taste like coffee that does a little but not as much as some that don’t pretend to taste like coffee. Not bad, little fuller would be god. Not god. Never god. Good. Definitely getting stingier.

500 ml bottle, at home. Poured into an english pint glass. ABV 4,2% Very dark brown, almost totally black. One finger of head on top of it, dark beige in colour, soapy, with good retention. Very strong aroma of coffee, along with dark chocolate and some little roasted malts on the background. The coffee aroma overpowers everything else. NIce mild bitterness on the taste, here are the roasted malts more intense, followed by the coffee and the chocolate comes mostly on the aftertaste. Fantastic taste. Smooth and creamy on the body, light carbonation. Nice dryness on the palate

Bottle at the Local Pub, Halandri. Aroma: Smells of coffee beans (of course). Has some earthy notes. Very attractive. Mouthfeel: Nice creamy feel, not much body. Taste: Dry taste. Palate mostly of coffee beans and dark chocolate. Just a touch of light bitterness and tartness. Finish: Dry, roasted, coffeeish aftertaste. Well executed. Overall: Highly recommended.

Pours like a nice cup of joe with a short lived head. Aroma and flavors of mild espresso and roasted malts. Mouth feel is watered down, could be creamier for the style.
