COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nitro keg and filtered bottle.
Espresso is a black beer with fully roasted barley malt and challenger hops but with freshly ground espresso coffee beans added to the copper for a few minutes after the boil to provide a complementary coffee aroma.

Clear dark red brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, espresso, light chocolate. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate sweet, roasted - coffee bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120113]

Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with an orange glare and a lacing tan head. Dry coffee and roasted malt aroma, lovely cup of coffee it seems. Flavour is dry and bitter: roasted and coffee bitter. Dry roasted and coffeeish finish.

Bottled (thanks laiti!). Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is a lot of roasted espresso coffee along with mild chocolate and roasted malts. Flavour is espresso coffee, chocolate, some roasted malts, liquorice and mild ashy notes.

Bottle. Opaque black beer, thick tan head. Fresh ground coffee nose. Slightly dry palate. Does what it says on the tin! Fresh espresso coffee. Mild minerals. Unapologetically espresso!
