Dobry stout bardzo kawowy, mocny aromat mocnej kawy espresso. Czarny jak irlandzki drafy stout. Oleisty i smolisty. Pelna glebia smaku. Piana srednia ale opada. Aromat mocno palonej kawy i slodu jeczmiennego. Gozkie i wytrawne. Finisz dlugi.

Poured from the bottle, very black with a large rocky bownish head - looks delicious. My nose is hit with the strong smell of coffee - and a good one. The coffee isn’t as strong in the flavour, which works very well with the small amount of carbonation and the bitterness. A brilliant after dinner drink - I will be getting more!

Bottle @ Microbar, november 07. Opaque, black color with a medium, creamy, beige head. Deep, roast, espresso flavor with an english hop feeling at the end. Some cereal notes too. Roasty, coffesih mouthfeel, very dry. Almost like drinking an espresso. Spicy and warming. Beatifull coffeish/ espresso aroma. Nice, coffeish stout, pretty dry.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2011 One of the best coffee beers I have tasted. The aroma is constructed from roasted malt, coffee, ground, chocolate, with a creamy twist. Appearance is solid, the liquid is very dark and a nice tanned head with good texture makes it a very balances setup that compliments the beer very nicely. The tastes are like amplified aromas, they have found a nice way of really using the coffee flavour without making it too "in front". This might be my 5th or so bottle, and for the first time it’s a bit more coffee bitter that the previous ones. The tastes settle really nicely in your mouth and the texture is what you’d expect. Works. I look forward in tasting more beers from these guys/girls.

50 cl. bottle sampled @ Kraddel does 1K tasting. Provided / procured @ T-Drinks. Cheers. BBF 02/2015. Pours a dark brown, light black shades, mocha bubbles for a head. Nose is pure bitter roasted coffee and espresso bean, light roast and touch chocolate. Taste is bitter roasted espresso beans, dark bread malts, lightly sweetish, chocolate, small hint vanilla, touch of roasted malts but espresso and coffee dominates the flavour. Touch light body. Quite enjoyable and easy to drink overall.

Bottled. Transparently black, thick beige creamy head. Rich roasty coffee aroma. Dry, soft and rounded with lots of coffee and licorice. Salty bitter finish. Excellent combination of soft gentle malt and poerful espresso tones.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2013 Black with a slight red tint and a thin, soapy, lacy, lasting, beige head. Smells of strong malt, coffee, strong roast, and caramel and chocolate. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Sweet tastes of coco and caramel that moves to a bitter coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate bitter dry finish. Some, ash in the mix makes it interesting. Nice balance

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil - it really does smell exactly like a nice dark-roast cup of coffee - very smooth, roasty, and dry - drier than any other coffee stout I’ve had, which makes it quite unique, and quite similar in flavor to the "brew" it is deriving its name from - not quite as good as Peche Mortel, but it really is quite close.

(Tap) Great looking beer: dark, nearly black, frothy head. Aroma is very clean - I wouldn’t quite say it was like coffee, but it was very woody and earthy, with a dose of malts. Overall, very dry and not overly sweet like some espresso stouts. Well-balanced, refreshing and quite good.
