This has a good tough chewy body to it and a nice warming malty sweetness. Excellent balance of zesty tangy hops. As near a perfect pint as youd be happy to drink!

Cask at Hagen and Hyde, Balham. Pours a fairly dark amber colour with an off white head. Aroma is malty, bready with a hint of yeast. Light to medium body, a touch thin. It's got caramel, toasted rye bread and grapefruit bitterness to finish. Not bad.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2013
Aug 2013 - Dirty sewagey, murky brown with a small bubbly head. Looks a bit rubbish. Smells slightly of toffee. Body medium, carbonation low. Taste is more slight toffee with a mild bitterness. Quite soapy. Below average. (2.8)
Nov 2013 I should keep a better record of what beers I’ve had, because I really shouldn’t be coming back to this sort of beer! Cask. Amber brown with a decent bubbly white head. Looks better than last time. Smell - chemical. Body medium carbonation low. Taste - watery and astringent, chemical, slight yeast. Wow, this is even worse than last time. This one needs to be retired so that I don’t accidentally stumble across it again. (2.5 is kind)
