Cask@blackdoor. Amber. Malty, bready slight sweet malty nutty nose, feels rather bockish. Bready malty, more of that light nuttyness in flavour. Smooth ok balanced. Pale malty drink.

This has a good tough chewy body to it and a nice warming malty sweetness. Excellent balance of zesty tangy hops. As near a perfect pint as youd be happy to drink!

Keg at Glasgow Real Ale Festival. Deep brown colour with a wonderful sweet, vanilla aroma. Taste is sweet with some nuttiness. A bit like a beer milkshake. Very good

Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Sept 2012 - Chestnut brown in colour. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Fruity; orange citrus, hint of dark fruits. Hoppy; floral hops. Sweetish. Sweet-bitter malty fruity throughout. Very drinkable.

Cask @ Akkurat, 21/1-14.
App: Clear dark amber/chestnut with some bubbles on top.
Aroma: Rye bread, caramel/burnt sugar, licorice root, ripened oranges and apples, a whiff of rusty tap water.
Taste: Malty with caramel and some toffee, dark rye bread, grapefruit, a hint of red berries, licorice root stretching out in the aftertaste with a soft bitterness.
Palate: Medium bodied, low to no carbonation, soft rounded texture.
Overall: Pretty nice round malty and flat bitter. Classic stuff.

Cask at Hagen and Hyde, Balham. Pours a fairly dark amber colour with an off white head. Aroma is malty, bready with a hint of yeast. Light to medium body, a touch thin. It's got caramel, toasted rye bread and grapefruit bitterness to finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2013

Aug 2013 - Dirty sewagey, murky brown with a small bubbly head. Looks a bit rubbish. Smells slightly of toffee. Body medium, carbonation low. Taste is more slight toffee with a mild bitterness. Quite soapy. Below average. (2.8)

Nov 2013 I should keep a better record of what beers I’ve had, because I really shouldn’t be coming back to this sort of beer! Cask. Amber brown with a decent bubbly white head. Looks better than last time. Smell - chemical. Body medium carbonation low. Taste - watery and astringent, chemical, slight yeast. Wow, this is even worse than last time. This one needs to be retired so that I don’t accidentally stumble across it again. (2.5 is kind)

Dark copper with a thick creamy head. It’s a smooth tasting best bitter in character with malts in its aroma and taste.

Cask sampled @ St. Arnolds Day Beer Festival 2013, The Old Wine Vaults, Faversham. Clear dark golden body with a disappearing off-white head. Aroma of mild malt, light toast and slightly fruity. Flavor is smooth malt, fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste. Another fine and balanced session bitter from cask.
