3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle bb 15/10/13. Not the freshest. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy, nettles and caramel. It's a bit messy tasting - caramel, a little veg, a bit of grapefruit. OK.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear and golden with a large head that took some time to dissipate.
Hoppy and bitter but the hoppiness is quite discrete. Not as powerful as some IPA’S but still very nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
This dryish Fresh Hop IPA purports citrusy and peppery hop resins, as floral angles latch on to straw-like malts.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the misty pale golden.
-This lacked aromatic properties, but I tend to say the same of most of their Pale Ales and IPAs.
-The mouthfeel is once again finely crafted.
-The hop bitterness is also pine-like.
-I was surprised at the quality of this brew’s hop profile even though I got the bottle a few months after its prime (but still within the ‘best before’ date).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle from Quel Vin. Hazy orange amber colour, reasonable head. Creamy vanilla malt aroma. Biscuit, vanilla cream & hop flavour. Dry citrus aftertaste. Not a typical IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fresh hoppy aroma, grassy, citrusy. Taste is fresh and refreshing hoppy, initially citrusy and grassy bitter hoppy, minimally sweet subtle hints of caramel malt, later minimally astringent, medicinal.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a slightly cloudy yellow colour with a white foamy head. Aroma is very strong with grassy notes, green tea, herbs and some citrusy notes. Flavour of strong grassy hops, grapefruit, bitter green tea, pine and biscuity malts. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a pungent, lingering bitter, herbal finish. Great.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
33 cl bottle as "Dark Star Green Hop". BBE 15.10.2013.
Pours clear copper color with a small head. Aroma of grassy hops, some caramel malts, mild nutty notes and goose berry bush. Goose berries on the flavor also, grass, hops, faint nuts and citrus fruits. Strong carbonation, bitter fruity palate. Very refreshing. Nice.
