From cask at the Rake. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is solid peachy and grapefruity. Bitter, fruity and mild malty base flavoured. Very crisp and vibrant hops flavoured yet also smooth and not overly hoppy. Bitter and dry finish.

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton England on 29th August 2009. Pale golden with a white effervescent head of foam. Exquisitely hoppy with floral aromas and well balanced grassiness in the main kick - this being offset by soothing feelgood malt. Refreshing and easy drinking on a crisp, mildly textured mouthfeel. At the Evening Star, Hophead is served on its absolute best, and always knocks me sideways with its flavour at such a low strength. Superb and one of my favourite beers of all time.

Cask at GBBF ’09, light gold with a bubbly white head. A good floral hop aroma. A mouthfeel that does a good job of balancing the hops and malt. The citrus bite increases through the swallow.

Hazy yellow with a small white head. Fruity and grainy aroma with some wheat notes. Sweet grainy malt flavour with a touch of pear, and a long hoppy finish
