UPDATED: AUG 6, 2009 Aug, 2003 Gravity, Frog & Toad Body Parts Beer Festival. Blond Ale. A lemon or Chardonnay colour - quite attractive for a blonde. Fragrant floral hops. Gentle citric tang - mostly soft grapefruit sprinkled with brown sugar, but there’s an element of orange and a hint of vanilla pod just dipped into the brew. Light to medium body - refreshing and satisfying. Finishes soft with a long lingering dryness. Spanking. The beer of the festival. [4.0]
March, 2005 Dog & Bone, Gillingham. Foam head and creamy texture because the beer was pulled through a sparkler. White lilly aroma. Vanilla and caramel and oily hops. Served cool. Sparkler spoils the beer. [3.2]
June, 2005 JDW, Boston, Lincs. Fresh & fruity with passion fruit and citric notes. This is a great beer, but it does like to be well treated to show its best bits. [3.4]
July, 2009 Darnly Arms, Cobham Lovely soapy drink. Slight toffee - milk toffee. [3.3]

[cask at the Caley Sample Room, Edinburgh] Clear golden beer, thin white head. Looks beautifully inviting. Gentle citrus grapefruit aroma – although the hops definitely let you know they are in there. The taste is glorious - bitter lemon, balanced beautifully by a rising sweetness. Those bitter citrus hops come through on the finish as a final burst of grapefruit. A classic [12042012]

Poured with almost no head, light haze. Citrus hops but moderate. Very light and an accessible body as well, as can be expected from an ale under 4 percent. Essence of hops, grassy. Low carbonation. Nice. Old style English ale mixed with a modern hop character. (At the Cask Pub and Kitchen)
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RichardW (929) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2012
Cask, Ncl BF. Pale, fruity and creamy. Tangy and refreshing with lovely light citrus notes and a clean, lingering finish. Another one that makes you suck your cheeks in, the previous comment about it not being a beer to drink all night is fairly true aswell.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Vladivostok (103) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2012
Very pale with good head and a massive citrus flavour followed by a strong bitter finish. A typical Anglo-American ale, I don’t mind one once in a while, but would hate to drink it all night.
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dogbomb (277) - ENGLAND - APR 13, 2012
Cask. Pale yellow with a touch of haze. Crisp white head. Lots of sugary sherberty smells, like standing in a confectioners. Tastes like love-hearts steeped in lime juice. There's a malt in the mouth and a bit of grapefruit bitterness to finish. Nice drink.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 faber (10) - Rome, ITALY - APR 3, 2012

Cask at HWBF. Golden with bubbly white head. Grapefruit hops and a bitter finish. Decent.

i seem to be in the minority on this one. decent but not great.
the main component is a massive bitter finish. prior to that a whiff of hops and a gentle hoppy palate. slight grassy flavour.
got quite excited when I saw it on the bar, but was left a little disappointed.

Light pale gold with a lasting frothy head. Smells of citrus, fruity, hops and light greapfruit. Thin medium body. Citrus, hoppy and greapfruit. Some sweet malt. Lasting hoppy finish. Closer to an IPA. Sour
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 culchiem (1017) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 12, 2012
Cask at Cask & Kitchen. Clear gold with a cream
head. Aroma of citrus. Flavour is popcorn that leads to quite a sharp bitter hop finish. Unusual, but alright.
