3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours a dark brown to black color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, char, dark fruits, a hint of smoke, with a dark chocolate finish. The flavor comes off just a bit over roasted, almost burnt. Decent enough.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
the 2012 brew of this fine strong stout. A lovely smooth and rich beers which drinks very easily considering it’s ABV. I would rate this very highly as a bottled stout, does not have the bitterness sometimes associated with this style of stout, yet it is interesting on the palate and a beautifully made beer

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Black with a tan head. Aroma of lots of dark chocolate, some liqueur pralines and dark fruits notes. Bittersweet flavor with chocolate, roastiness, a bit of liqueur, dark fruits notes, an alcoholic edge and a slightly more bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. A very strong stout, drinkable given its strength but it does hit you after a while. Black with very little head. Surprisingly it’s quite light in character with more stated roasted malt aroma than taste.
