Cask & Bottle Conditioned;
Imperial Stout is a truly special beer which harks back to the days when English brewers exported strong stouts and ports to the Baltics. Brewed with a high proportion of roasted barley and target hops, this is complex beer with a big flavour. Our bottle conditioned Imperial Stout has been aged at the brewery so you may enjoy it now, although it will continue to improve for many years.

Bottle from Utobeer. Black large frothy head. Caramel, little vanilla, dark fruit and a hint of funk. Wow this has kept well. Taste is cola, chocolate, fruits again. Beautiful. Oily palate, also carries booze very very well indeed.

Bottle. It pours a huge, light tan head over a next to black body. Licorice, roasted malts, dark chocolate, cellar hints and some herbal hints in the aroma. Lots of licorice in the flavor, with alcohol, almond essence, roasted malts, herbal hints and dark chocolate. Full body, quite a lot of carbonation. Lasting finish with herbs, dark chocolate, bitterness and alcohol. Some solvent going on too, all the way. A bit unclean this one, but with some qualities. 140816

Bottle. Dark colored pour, tan head. Smell is smokey, chocolate, coffee, and slightly hoppy. Taste is sweet, creamy, mild. Not too thick; no real alcohol burn either. Not a bad stout, but I am really not a fan of English beers other than some of the mass produced ones.
