4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 6th October 2013. Amber with off white shallow foam and very little, quickly vanishing lace. Richly hoppy aroma with grapefruit and a touch of peachiness. Intensely hoppy in-mouth with grapefruit, apricot and bitter notes. Satisfyingly bitter finish. Zingy with plenty of body. Exquisite.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Craft Clerkenwell. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is dough, toast, bitter-sweet, orange, peach and a touch of spice. The taste is crisp, dough, buttered toast, decent bitterness, hay, grass, grapefruit and pithy orange with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent, but I have to confess I was slightly underwhelmed...

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cask conditioned at York Beer Festival ’13. Amber with white head. There was a good malty, dry body at the start of this and then bang, a big hoppy flavour smacks you right in the mouth, tropical fruits, bitter and very dry. Corr.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint cask at the harp London. Golden copper colour with a lovely nice white frothy head. The harp can really look after their beers. Aroma is nice hop peach and lychee with some nelson sauvin hop. Full body for a pale. Flavour has biscuit malt, but dominated by the juicy fruit hop. Very tasty beer that I enjoyed very much.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
17th September 2013
Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Pretty much a clear gold beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Light palate, semi dry. Supermild carbonation. Orange marmalade hops, that are medium bitter. Slight floralness. Finishes semi dry. I got a bit tired of this before finishing it, it needs something else. Okay though.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 16/09/13.
Clear golden with a good sized off white head.
Nose is light hops, toasted malts, citrus, orange, hint of grapefruit.
Taste carries more depth than the aroma, light grapefruit, sugars, hint of pine, grass.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, subtle hop bitterness in the finish.
Decent enough but didn’t carry as much depth of flavour as I expected from a 6% Dark Star offering.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at CBC Brixton. Pours a clear gold colour. Aroma is sweet with a bit of caramel coming through with orange and juicy tropical fruit. Lightish body, some fine zingy carbonation. A little veg funkiness, touch of caramel, a bit of sweet orange, almost shertberty, followed by a decent grapefruit bitterness. Nice.
