Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England Mar 22, 2008 Cask @ The Bear, Camberwell. Amber colour with thin head. Malty aroma, nice nutty aroma, caramel also. Taste is exactly the same, earthy and a little thin but overall drinkable.
oh6gdx (4910), Vaasa, Finland Feb 13, 2008 Cask. Brown colour, mainly no head, just a few big bubbles. Aroma is caramel malts along with some mild earth and mild wooden notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Wellbalanced, but boring. FatPhil (1853), Espoo, Finland Feb 10, 2008 Cask (Angleterre, Helsinki)
Rich brown colour, loose head. Good nutty aroma, like how proper English brown ales should be. Taste matches - nutty, earthy and full flavoured. Simple, but good on the palate. Very nice beer - want more. Mes_and_Sim (3873), London, Greater London, England Jan 21, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock. As brown as brown can be, seriously lacking in the head department however. Strong caramel and malt aroma. A little on the bland side but nice enough. Flavour is more of the same with some really nice earthy notes. Drinkable but boring.
