Golden bright larger. Slightly sweet and definitely a lady pleaser. Not bad larger for a brewery that specialises in ales. [After the annual cricket match, Wenlock Arms versus the Evening Star]

A Mes rate: Keg at The Evening Star.
Pale blonde with a thin white rim. Malt & cereal but held together reasonably well with some decent hops and a dry finish. Better than plenty of other lagers but far from special.

On tap at Evening Star, Brighton. Gold colour with thin white head. Not a huge aroma. Quite good aromatic creamy hop on what is basically a thin watery lager. Served too cold. Some pukiness toward the end of the palate. Quite drying, not great.

Clear golden coloured crisp and smooth on the palate. Lasting hop finish.

[Draft at Evening Star, Brighton] A yellow beer with a small lasting white head. The aroma is sour wheaty, while the flavor is plain wheaty.

Keg. Evening Star, Brighton - with joet. Tastes cheap and nasty with butterscotch lingering unpleasantly, going into rancid fat. Rotten fruit aroma. Some tin and cabbage. Foul!

Tap@The Evening Star, Brighton. This was just a pretty bland pale lager, very clean and crisp, and very boring, hard to pick out too many flavours, pretty bland, and not very interesting.
