Can. Pours clear gold with a light haze and foamy head. Aroma is pretty malty, initial butterscotch, toffee malts, also hoppy with dried fruit and nut, orange. Light medium body, finish is balanced, lightly bitter. Will have to try again on cask, this can is not as good as it should be I think.

Cask at The Bishops’ Mill (JDW), Durham, £1.60/pint. Pours a clear mid-amber with a thin, off-white head. The nose is light but still packs a tropical fruity punch. The taste is chock-full of fruity hops, with passion fruit, orange and even peach all detectable. There’s a real underlying dryness that becomes astringency on a long finish. It really tastes its full 5.7%. On the whole good flavours but a little too boozy.

Clear golden amber colour with a small thick white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, grassy hops, citrus and a touch of pine. Some lacing, toffee malty sweetness, some citrus and piney hoppy bitterness combine in a dry bitter finish.

Pint glass enjoyed at Heathrow airport. Pours clear orange color forming a medium light yellow head with some soapy lacings formed and left in the glass. Sweet grains, grass and tropical fruits in the nose. Pine, grapefruit and hints of resin. Slightly sweet upfront taste. Sweet pale malts and grapefruit mainly. Grass, pine and resin. Good bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation. Grass, herbs, pine and grapefruit in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Good PA

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Glowing crystal-clear amber with a thin white head. Tropical notes up front, a friendly warming caramel middle then pine in the mildly bitter finish. A little too much Cascade for my personal preference by the finish, but there’s no denying that this is a very tasty and well-balanced brew and well worthy of it’s high score on this site. Had it just after the very good and quite similar Hilden Mill Street, and this was just a little step ahead on all counts.

On cask at the Crown in Berkhansted. Pours a clear light Amber with a light tan head. The smell is citrus and toasted grain. The taste is toasted malt, citrus, light caramel ending dry and somewhat bitter. Medium in body with creamy , five carbonation. Decent.

Cask at the Plough & Harrow, dark gold with a thin head, rich and malty with bitter orange and tropical fruit notes, yet also dry and lightly spicy. Delicious.

Hazy appearance. Very hoppy aroma and great strength. Nice bite on the palate. Bready citrus taste. All in all very acceptable.
