COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal;
This is a cask version of the Belgian farmhouse ale, historically brewed to be enjoyed by the farmers during the harvest. This beer is light gold in colour, hopped with Saaz, Styrian and Belgian Goldings and pitched with a specially imported Saison yeast that ferments to dryness and provides a distinct flavour.

Handpull at The Wheatsheaf (Southwark). Hazy gold with a smallish off-white head. Simple aroma is floral/herbal with lemon zest and coriander, just a hint of candy in there somewhere. Taste follows, more citrus (grapefruit pith) and still not at all sweet - very nicely balanced, really. Average body, a bit astringent, spicy, low-level carbonation, and a medium-short dry spicy finish. Quite quenching - sneaky bit of acidic hop bitterness hovering around the perimeter too.

Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are honey and Lon with plenty of pepper. Musty with hints of cheese. Low biscuit malts. Flavours are sweet and sour lemon with dry biscuit and a fair amount of yeast. Decent barnyard notes with lager malts. A decent stab at the style.

Cask @ Craft Beer Co., London. Slightly hazy pale yellow color, no head. Weird smell, don’t really know what it is. Tastes weird as well, slightly bitter, can’t think of anything else really. Weird beer, just can’t identify what I smell and taste in this beer. Low body, low carbo.
