Brewed with five different hop varieties in the copper and then dry hopped after fermentation, this pale beer is designed for those who like their hops as an extreme sport!

Des aromatiques timides pour la quantité de sucres générés par les malts. Sapiné, floral et très confortable en bouche.

Bottle, courtesy of Giorgio from Yenn B&B in Leuven (great Real Ales fanatic). Pours a very interesting amber, white consistent foam, clear and intense. Fantastic nose of hoppy notes along with BBQ meat, caramel, malts. Mouth: bitterness all around the palate, bitter aftertaste (constant bitterness). Liquor feel (whiskey?), sharp end and very balanced overall taste. A very specific beer, good use of ingredients. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. Amber coloured with burnt toffee, orange marmalade and woody flavours, malty notes followed by a zesty, spicy finish. Excellent!

Cask in Craft Islington. Amber in colour, looks like a luscious IPA. Well balanced, sure it’s hoppy but there is some sweetish malt in there too. But lots of hops. I wonder what the six are? I got a nice blend of major hop characteristics without any one (pine/citrus/floral/spice etc) being overly dominant. Oily hop texture, oozes round the mouth. Rather nice.

Bottle at home from Battersea Beer Fest. Aroma is sweet caramel, toffe malts, spicy hop with light earthy orange notes. Nice golden orange colour with lasting frothy off white head. Flavour is Caramel orange, biscuity malt, touch of pine, mineral. Stuff berry esters. Quite sweet caramel. Balance is pretty good malt / hops. Low bitterness, slighlty earthy.

Bottle. Bought Feb 2014; BB date March 2014; Drank Feb 2014. Amber in colour. Fruity; tangy citrus grapefruit and orange, hints of tropical fruit. Hoppy; floral, grassy, spicy hops. Malty base; sweet malts and caramel. Moderately bitter citrus fruity hoppy and dry throughout. Liked this. Decent, BUT (with hindsight) presumably NOT particularly fresh and the hops have mellowed out. Certainly a disappointment compared with the stunning Cask Pint of Six Hop which I had at the Cask Pub, Pimlico, London in March 2010. That Cask pint was Mega-Hoppy, fresh and in excellent condition. I would rate the cask pint at 3.8 but this bottle at 3.4. Therefore I have averaged this rate as 3.6. Moral: for hoppy English beers, drink fresh on cask if you can, otherwise avoid short dated bottles.

Aroma: strong floral hops, some grass. Appearance: clear medium dark brown, small to medium white head. Taste: light sweet and bitter. Palate: sweets at first intenser, then malty bitters coming up, but not too strong, massive grassy and floral hops again, average-long finish. Overall: atypical IPA, nice, but does not stand out. Bottle from Hogs Back Brewery, Tongham.

33cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber with nicely proportioned head. Nose - a lovely balance of pine, , grapefruit and biscuit malt. Taste - ginger biscuits some grapefruit. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - beautifully balanced beer.
