Bottle. Amber beer with large head and a touch of lacing. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit. Taste is pine resin hops, orange, earthy yeast and a little grapefruit. Quite bitter. Medium bodied and a touch oily. A very good IPA.

My Bottom Line:
This finely effervescent IPA develops pine and flowers in a dryish, classy mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the deep golden.
-This might lack aromatics for my tastes in the style.
-Earthy undercurrents are found.
-The resinous hop bitterness is well balanced with the rest of the brew’s medium intensity.
-These guys’ really know how to develop perfect mouthfeels, whether it’s in the bottle or on cask.
-Drinkability is very high.

A good variety of hoppy flavours - citrus, orange and grapefruit, copper on the aftertaste. Also quite bitter-sweet. Not bad.

Bottle. Bronze and clear with a small head. Quite bitter and hoppy with a bitter aftertaste. Pleasant but slightly too bitter for my personal taste.

Dark golden pour. Big white head. Plenty of lacing. Huge hop presence. Apricots and white grapes. Malty taste with the same awesome hop-ness. Nice beer. Very nice.

[Gift from Maureen (cheers!) from the Selsey off license] Light amber with a negligible white head and a moderate fizz. Tropical fruit aroma carries on into the flavor with spicy orange notes and a growing but well-balanced bitterness. Like many Dark Star beers I’ve tried, it’s decent but not world-beating - not quite up to their formidable reputation.
