Cask conditioned at The Charles Lamb, Islington, London. Pale gold with white head. This is a hoppy, dry, bittersweet beer with a lemon rind character. Refreshing and light, really pretty decent.

Hand pulled at the Harp, Covent Garden. Golden colour, fresh fruity smell. A beautifully balanced mouthful, with sweet, lemony hops and a touch of hiney sweetness. Faintly reminscent of honey/lemon cough medicine. Enjoyable.

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Hazy gold with an off-white foam. Aromas are dusty hay with toast and lemon marmalade. Next is lots of herbal, peppery & ginger notes. Some underlying floral aspects. Flavours are sweet lemon squash followed by ginger ’burn’ and lots of spiciness. Almost chilli hot but far better than the dreaded Cave Creek Chilli beer.

Cask at the Red Lion, Isleworth, Bank Holiday Festival, 27th August 2010. Weak gold colour. Coriander and ginger on the nose. Lots of ginger in the mouth, which leads to a lingering burn on the aftertaste. Not for me.

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo)
6 Sweet lemon soap and honey aroma - points to lemongrass most.
2 Pale orange, tiny head
6 Mostly lemongrassy taste, some sweet light malts.
4 Big citrussy retronasals, aand a ginger finish which is pretty hot.
14 Relying on a thin body to be the "summer" part. The spices are hotter than expected, so less summery.

Cask - Cask Pub & Kitchen, London. A pencil-fine, lasting, creamy white head sits atop a clear, golden yellow body. Warm herbal, ginger, spicey hop aromas. Ginger & lime, perhaps a bit soapy with a sweetish malt kick and dry bitterness. Light to medium body, good carbonation bite with a gingery warmth and mild, short bitterness.

Cask at cask pub and kitchen, Pimlico, London. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, slight ginger, spice. Quite refreshing but Dark Star knock out better ale than this one.

Cask (Harp, Covent Garden) - Golden in colour. Tea, grapefruit and ginger in the aroma. Hoppy and spicy taste with grapefruit, peach, tea and warming ginger kick in the finish.

Cask @ Harp, London. Hazy light gold with casky head. Bright flowery spicy aroma is Asian, ginger, galangal. Quaffable with soap on the palate. Perfumy in a way I like. Not bad.

@ Harp. Golden with very slight haze. Frothy head. The aroma is gingery with some light earthy hop. Soapy taste with ginger and more earthy hop, and slightly toasty malt. Pretty good but for the soapiness, which is a bit strange.
