3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It has a good floral aroma, the taste is a light hoppyness (owing to it being a traditonal English ale). The beer is well rounded, very drinkable, and is cheap as chips. Will certainly have another.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is grass, nettle, lemon. Light body, light carbonation. Light cakey maltiness, grass, lemon, light pine, light wood... It's OK.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pint at Queenshead pub. Ok aroma, grassy fruity. Lemon grapefruit. Little doughy. Clean gold yellow color, good head, spotty lace. Bitter flavor. Light boost, thin smooth mouthfeel, light bitter finish that lingers, Flavor best part for me. Nice citric bite. It’ll do as a light beer for lunch.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
My Bottom Line:
This supremely drinkable Golden Ale juxtaposes three-dimensional cereals and citrusy, spicy hops in the silkiest of bodies. The kind of brew that makes you wish it were summer all year long...
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the clear golden shine.
-The cellaring job on this one is perfect. As good as the Hophead’s I had at The Harp, in London. When Dark Star are well cared for, they can be truly astonishing quenchers!
-All flavours come together in the finish, in case you had missed their interplay earlier on.
-The flavour profile is obviously well balanced.
-This is an obvious brother of Hophead. And that’s far from a complaint.
On cask at The Evening Star, Brighton.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear pale yellow body. Wee dimpled white film head. Orange and Lemon nose, touch of pink Grapefruitas warms up nose. Waterfall of light crumbly biscuit and nuggets of lemon. Chewy. Middle taste wasnt helped by the guy who farted as I tried to start typing this. Eventually brightly bitter mouthfeel shone through and rose above the methane. Quality malt spine keeps things in check throughout. Peppery and zesty finish. A wee bit oily on the linger.
Cask, Bon Accord, Glasgow. Summer Solstice Eve.

Cask @ Craft. Deep golden color with a small white head. The nose is lemon zest, sugar cookies and light grass. The taste is mild floral hops, more lemon and orange peel, light angel food cake and wheat. Crisp and refreshing. Soft body. Quite nice.
