Cask at The White Swan, St Peters: Lovely golden yellow colour. Gorgeous aroma of grass and hops. The flavour is outstanding, stunning hoppiness. Just a fantastic summer ale. Top stuff.

Cask handpull at Green Berry, Deal. Gold/orange with thin beige head. Beautifully hoppy beer. Very Dark Star-ry. Stunning spicy hop. Bit of Dark Star yeast on aroma. Piney hops, great resins. Superb. Love the hops. Bit of ginger maybe.

Cask at Kitty’s, Helsinki. Golden color with small head. Refreshing tropical fruit aroma with mango and apricot. The taste is biscuity, fruity, herbal and firmly bitter with mango, apricot and lemon. Smooth and firm taste with nice hoppy fruity character!

Cask, Summer Festival at Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Ultra-pale gold, small layer of fine white. Fresh hay and bubblegum aroma. Fine textured cedar bitterness, a little pollen, very light grainy malt. Clean, refreshing and well-crafted. A really pleasant beer. But it suffers by comparison: for the average brewery, this would be a good effort. For Dark Star, it’s fairly average.
