Warning! Early amateur rating! Golden beer. Grapefruit and citrus. Long bitter finish. Found this slightly hard work.

Full pint from cask@The Market Porter, London. Low creamy white head. Deep yellow-golden body with good clarity. Dry doughy malts, faint fruit, and some dusty hops in the aroma. Restrained, semi-dry malt body. A fine fruity and earthy hop bitterness is dominating, added by a pleasant floral and citrussy hop flavor. Quite full. Ends fruity with a lingering bitterness. A good quencher, fresh and moreish.

(Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki) Poured golden and almost clear. Head was medium sized, long lasting and white. Aroma contained citricness and fruitiness. Palate was quite light bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were hops, fruitiness, citricness, malts, hint of apricots, bisquits, dry hay and quite biting bitterness. Aftetaste was fruity and bitter. A pleasant surprise.

Cask-conditioned at Blackfriars, Glasgow 13/06/10. Deep gold in colour with a moderate, white head. Citrus hop character aplenty, with some balancing sweet malts and decent dry finish. Good.

Cask@Akkurat. Yellowish golden colour, small white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity hops, some nectar and quite sweet malts as well. Flavour is quite much the same with the fruityness being the most dominating element. Mild dry bitterness in the finish.

Cask at Brazen Head. Very pale golden pour. The nose is quite crackery with a nice UK-style malt base. There is a kiss of light lemony citrus and some light earthy/fruity hops. Soft lingering bitterness. It’s pretty simple, but decent.

Cask at the Brazen Head: Pours a light pale golden with good clarity and a white film of head. Has a very fresh crisp aroma- some crackery dry pale malts with a bright and zesty grassy hop bouquet- a touch of lemon zest as well. Very inviting aromatics. Nice light fluffy body with a nice dry flavor. A crackery pale malt back gives off a touch of biscuit and is followed by a nice solid zesty peppery hop finish. An exceptional session!

Cask at the Rake ... golden yellow ... thin white lacing ... odd grassy hop ... light sulpherous nose ... sweet grassy lemon hop ... soapy bitter.
