Cask at Lyric, Soho. It pours clear gold with a thick off-white head. The nose is fresh floral, light sweetness, lemon, apricot, pancakes and light earth. The taste is floral, pepper, zesty lemon, white grape, grass, earth, decent bitterness and some barnyard with a dry, lightly citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well-rounded, quaffable summer session ale.

Cask at the Shirley (Solihull) Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma was malty and of burning rubber! Some might call it barnyard funk. Either way not impressive. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, hoppy and with a little grass. The palate was a nice smooth malt with some lingering bitterness in the finish. Tasted great. Smelled awful!

Cask. Golden ale with a slight haze. Foamy white head. Nose is light and hoppy, with lemon and some nice wheaty malt. Taste is amazing - tons of summer fruitiness. The lemon is there again, but I can pick out various berries, strawberry, blackberry, gooseberry. Sweet malts and a bitter bam. Smashing.

Cask at OT. No head. Clear appearance with color of dilluted apple juice. Woody hop aroma with some light caramell malts and also a small aroma of sulphur and a bit of fruit. Woody tart bitterness in medium levels but lasts long. Caramell maltiness is also present. Medium body.

Cask @ CBC Brixton. The pour’s deep gold with a tiny head. The aroma’s of skunky grain, honey, sugary dough and sweet pancake syrup. The taste is summery berry, white grape, more honey and apricot. Soft bready malt presence. Light grassy bitter kick on the finish. Light and very drinkable. Pleasant, smooth.

Pint at the Rake. Pale amber colour, slight haze, no head or lacing. Aroma was citrus, notes of cork very fragrant. Tasted citrus fruits, mango and notes of cork. Finish was wheaty and bitter. Silky smooth texture, body was slightly thick, minimal carbonation. Overall very nice warm weather beer.

Aroma: Peachy, biscuity and floral.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a thick, chalk-white head. No carbonation. Lots of sticky lacing.

Taste: Summer fruits - juicy strawberry and peach. Some earthy notes. Very light and sessionable. Quite sweet, then soft bitterness to finish.

Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: Delicious golden ale, though I think it would benefit from being a little more carbonated.
