omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 13, 2004 Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pale golden, very lightly hazy. Orangey nose. Dry and light-medium bodied with beautiful soft maltiness. Notes of vanilla, but dominated by a generous amount of hops. Long orangey bitter finish. Wonderfully drinkable. An excellent beer in superb condition! Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Jun 16, 2007 Blackfriers. Well it was a lively beast, but oustating. Aroma hits you with citrus, lime and orange, grassy uber hoppy goodness. Taste has a solid honey pale malt and biscut base with huge hop cutting it open, citrus out its nut. Not to bitter however far from balanced just how i like it. Jonte (403), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 21, 2008 Updated: Aug 20, 2008Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Golden color with an unusually big white head.
Aroma of frutiness, sweet malt, grass and a bit of cardboard?. The taste is sweet and fruity with notes of citrus, honey and malt/bread. Compared with the Hopehead this one is more sweet and full-bodied, but less hoppy. Doppelganger (1206), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England Jun 28, 2008 Cask, Far From The Madding Crowd summer ale festival. Yellow-gold, dense fine white head. Very pretty warm hops; melon, but sans musk. Oranges, but orange juice, with none of the bite of the skin. A fresh yellow heirloom tomato quality. Nice full hop flavor but gentle bitterness. Oranges, sweet corn. Soft palate with a nice roundness, though not particularly sweet. An interesting beer, and distinctive even among DS lineup. harrisoni (5382), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 10, 2006 Cask gravity at Catford BF 06. Pale gold with lasting white head. Citric hay aroma. Verging on the farty, but then good lemon curd style fruit kicks in with excellent hop finish.
