Cask; Seasonal - January & February.
The Black and roasted barley malts are fermented to dryness to provide perfectly balanced full malt flavours. Golding varieties of Kentish hops are used early and late in the boil to add a fresh clean bitterness.

On tap at CP&K. Opaque black - brown beer, small tan head. Light dry palate. Sweet dark malts. Minerals and subtle fruits underneath. Coffee streak. Whisper of bubblegum toward the semi dry finish. Fresh and quite complex and eminently suppable!

Cask in Craft Beer Co. Black with off white head. Nose is ale fruity, instant black coffee, caramel malt, bit of sulphur, possibly touch on the turn. Taste is cold black coffee, caramel, fruity hops. It’s a little too watery. Sweetish caramel fruity finish.

Cask at the Gallowe Bird Public House. Fresh hops in the smell with a coffylike malty body. The off white head with big bubbbles lasts long. Refreshing mouthfeel and a good thirst quencher. One of the hoppiest stouts I’ve had. Brilliant.
