Cask @ The Red Lion, Leytonstone. The pour’s medium amber with a small head. The aroma’s of sugared berry, caramel, general spice rack, cinnamon. The taste is more spice - cinnamon, ginger, anise, brown sugar. Nice, robust malt profile. Plenty of caramel. A touch of wood and vanilla on the finish. Medium body, smooth. Overall, pretty decent. Perhaps a bit too spicy-heavy to drink a lot of, but this is still quite good.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scopey (3253) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2013
Cask at The Claret. It pours clear amber with a medium beige head. The nose is winter spice, earth, caramel, orange peel and dried berry. The taste is earth, wood, winter spice, pumpkin, squash, raisin, light caramel and resin with a dry, lightly spiced finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. I really like the balance.

Handpump at The Guide Dog. Not as hoppy as normal fayre. Possible Orange, hint of sweetness, not as wintery as expected.

Cask at The Sussex Arms, Twickenham. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, spice, coriander aroma. Tastes slightly hoppy, spice, some ginger and coriander almost perfumed. Interesting, this one seemed to improve as the pint went on.
